NewKind Festival 2019!

So I'm here!

It's funny, I can't really tell that I am in Australia except that almost everyone has an Australian accent and I can hear kookaburras in gum trees. This festival is focused on all kinds of social justice issues and even runs on solar energy (see photo). We are camping in tents and there are two cold showers for over 300 people, lol! It is very close to the ocean which is beautiful and EVERYONE is super sweet and approachable. I wonder if there is anything like this festival in the United States?

This is one of my favorite pieces of the Festival - this list of qualities that they hoped the week would focus on. I think they did a great job of grounding the weekend in this focus.
